A Day of Exploration and Adventure in the Desert

On Day 2, you’ll fully immerse yourself in the Sahara Desert. Start the day with a mesmerizing sunrise over the dunes, as the early morning light transforms the desert into a stunning sea of colors. After sunrise, set off on a camel ride, exploring deeper into the desert landscape.

• Camel Trekking: Embark on a camel trek across the vast, endless dunes of Erg Chebbi. This is one of the best ways to experience the Sahara, as you’ll ride across the soft sands, taking in the surreal beauty of the landscape. Your camel guide will share insights into desert life and the rich history of the area.
• Sandboarding: For those seeking an adrenaline rush, sandboarding is a thrilling way to slide down the towering dunes. The experience is both exhilarating and fun, giving you a new perspective on the desert.
• Visiting a Nomadic Family: Learn about the nomadic Berber lifestyle by visiting a traditional desert family. Here, you’ll discover how the nomads have adapted to life in the desert, surviving with minimal resources.
• Oasis Visit: Explore one of the desert oases where palm trees offer shade and cool water. These lush spots are a stark contrast to the surrounding arid landscape and provide an excellent opportunity for relaxation.

In the evening, return to your desert camp to enjoy another Sahara sunset, followed by a delicious dinner under the stars.

Discovering Morocco’s Historical Kasbahs

On Day 3, you’ll leave the desert behind and head toward the Dades Valley, known for its stunning landscapes and ancient kasbahs. Along the way, you’ll pass through several iconic Moroccan landmarks, including the Todgha Gorge and Rissani.

Highlights:

• Rissani: Stop in Rissani, an important town in southern Morocco. It’s home to an ancient market and is known as the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. The town is a great place to explore and get a feel for local life.
• Todgha Gorge: One of the most impressive natural wonders in Morocco, Todgha Gorge is a massive canyon with sheer cliffs rising hundreds of meters above the valley floor. It’s a popular spot for rock climbers and offers a beautiful backdrop for photography.

On Day 4, you’ll continue your journey south toward Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Ouarzazate is famous for its film studios and ancient kasbahs, and it’s a must-visit for anyone interested in Morocco’s rich history and culture.

Highlights:

• Ait Benhaddou Kasbah: The highlight of the day is a visit to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic kasbahs. This ancient fortified village has been the setting for numerous films, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Wander through its narrow streets and explore the stunning mud-brick architecture.
• Ouarzazate Film Studios: Visit the Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate, one of the largest film studios in the world. The studio has hosted many famous films, including Lawrence of Arabia and The Mummy.

Overnight: Enjoy a night in Ouarzazate, where you can relax after a full day of exploration and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner.

The Final Leg of Your Desert Adventure

On the final day of your 5-day desert tour from Fez to Marrakech, you’ll drive through the High Atlas Mountains before reaching your destination: Marrakech.

• Tizi n’Tichka Pass: As you ascend the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and the surrounding valleys. The drive is a thrilling experience, with winding roads and spectacular vistas at every turn.
